Gynaecological Cancer Academy (GCA) Workshop ENGOT runs the Gynaecological Cancer Academy (GCA), an educative programme aiming to nurture and develop the next generation of leaders in gynaecological oncology to ensure continuity and transfer of knowledge and experience within the clinical trial community. The GCA is designed for experienced investigators who are not yet fully in a position to lead cooperative groups but have the potential to adopt this role in the future. The programme covers a range of topics that are critical to effective clinical trial design, collaboration, implementation, conduct and analysis within the ENGOT framework. Candidate participants are nominated by the ENGOT member groups based on the following selection criteria: More than 5 years of clinical practice/experience in gynaecology oncology Previous or current responsibility for projects with the ENGOT member group or experience as a chair/co-chair of a trial Experience as speaker, chair and/or facilitator at national meetings Aged ≤50 years Good level of spoken English Keen to participate in professional development programmes such as GCA. 16th Edition: ENGOT GCA Workshop 2-4 December 2026 We are excited to announce the 16th edition of the Gynaecological Cancer Academy workshop (GCA), which will be held on 2‒4 December 2026. The location will be announced soon. This edition also welcomes new workshop Co-Chair Prof. Kristina Lindemann (NSGO-CTU, Norway), who joins current Co-Chair Prof. Toon Van Gorp (BGOG, Belgium). Previous Edition: 2024 ENGOT GCA Workshop, November 13-15 in Stresa, Italy The 2024 GCA edition was organized by ENGOT aiming nurture and develop the next generation of leaders in gynaecological oncology to ensure continuity and transfer of knowledge and experience within the clinical trial community. This 1,5-day training programme for 42 participants is designed to help senior investigators to experience the clinical trial leader role and meet and work with other investigators from different countries.
