Gynaecological Cancer Academy (GCA) Workshop

ENGOT runs the Gynaecological Cancer Academy (GCA), an educative programme aiming to nurture and develop the next generation of leaders in gynaecological oncology to ensure continuity and transfer of knowledge and experience within the clinical trial community.

The GCA is designed for experienced investigators who are not yet fully in a position to lead cooperative groups but have the potential to adopt this role in the future.  The programme covers a range of topics that are critical to effective clinical trial design, collaboration, implementation, conduct and analysis within the ENGOT framework. Candidate participants are nominated by the ENGOT member groups based on the following selection criteria:

  • More than 5 years of clinical practice/experience in gynaecology oncology

  • Previous or current responsibility for projects with the ENGOT member group or experience as a chair/co-chair of a trial

  • Experience as speaker, chair and/or facilitator at national meetings

  • Aged ≤50 years

  • Good level of spoken English

  • Keen to participate in professional development programmes such as GCA.
